Call now
Water you can't stop, a leak that's spreading, no heat in the cold, or a drain backing up into the house — these are the ones that get worse every minute and cost more the longer they run. Shut the water or the system if you can, then call.

Can wait a day
A single slow drain, a dripping faucet, a cold radiator on one floor, a toilet that runs — these are real problems but they're not getting dramatically worse overnight. They're the ones to call about during business hours, not at midnight.
When you're not sure
That's exactly when to call. Describe what's happening and I'll tell you over the phone whether it can wait or needs me now. You're not bothering me — the call that saves a ceiling is the whole point. Leave a voicemail or fill out the form and I'll get back to you.
